About

Hi, my name is Ben.

I am a digital designer and general tinkerer based in Melbourne, Australia. In 2009 I completed my Bachelor or Multimedia and Digital Arts, majoring in Multimedia at Monash University. I love bringing design to life whether it’s through interactivity or motion design. Consequently most of my work now revolves around the areas of web/interactive and motion graphics. With a keen interest in how things work and are made, I have developed a broad variety of skills in both the design and technical sides of digital design. I have a strong skill set in applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver, Premiere and After Effects as well as many other softwares.

Basically I just love to delve into all areas of digital design be it video, web, mobile or graphic design.

Thanks for visiting my website and feel free to browse my portfolio, check out my blog, and please contact me if you have any inquiries.

Miso

Miso is an AIR app for organising screenshots for software simulations. I built it after frustrations using KnowledgePresenter’s KP Capture. I decided to take the best parts of KP Capture and make a really fast app that could generate mouse down and mouse over images for KnowledgePresenter. You can load, insert, duplicate, delete, reorder, launch images in Photoshop or Fireworks, and create mouse overs and mouse downs – all with the ability to undo any changes without destroying the original images. All images are displayed in a film strip along the bottom where thumbnails can be reordered and deleted via drag and drop. This was my first attempt at an MVC architectured app, and it also utilses Command Objects for all tasks that are carried out.
