I’m pleased to launch my new site! I decided to start fresh with a clean WordPress installation and design a brand new theme from scratch utilising WordPress 3′s new and improved features such as custom post types, custom taxonomies and featured images. I also used JQuery for the first time to create some simple animations for the page content to make the site feel a lot more slick. The site also uses some CSS3 transitions and the HTML5 doctype although I don’t actually use any HTML5 for this site. You will notice a new section of the site too called ‘basement’. This section is where I will put any experiments or incomplete work, this replaces the old ‘Lab’ section I used to have.
